Mary H. Burke has been helping individuals, families, and business owners protect what matters most for over a decade. As an Insurance Professional at Hodges Burke Financial, Mary specializes in life, disability income, and long-term care insurance. Her work is driven by a genuine desire to make a lasting impact on the lives of her clients.

Mary’s journey into the insurance industry was inspired by her father, David Hodges, a respected agent with more than 35 years of experience. After working as Membership Director at The Palmetto Club in Columbia, Mary realized she wanted to build deeper, long-term relationships through her work. With her father as a mentor, she joined Hodges Burke Financial in 2013 and has never looked back.

Mary is known for her ability to connect with clients and guide them through important decisions with care and clarity. She especially enjoys working with married professionals who are starting families or establishing their careers. “Purchasing life and disability insurance is a selfless decision,” she says. “I love being part of the process that helps people protect their loved ones and feel confident about their future.”

A graduate of Clemson University, Mary holds a Bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in Communications. Her background in relationship-building and communication continues to shape her approach to client service.

Outside of work, Mary is deeply involved in her community. She serves on the executive committee for the PTO at her daughters’ elementary school, teaches Sunday school at First Presbyterian Church, and co-leads a middle school girls’ Bible study. She and her husband, Chris, are members of the Champions Society, a donor group supporting Prisma Health Children’s Hospital.

Mary and Chris live in Columbia, South Carolina, with their three daughters, a standard poodle named Archie, and a cat named Otis. When she’s not working or volunteering, Mary enjoys working out at Level Fitness, playing pickleball, and walking with friends.
